“He is not here, for he has risen” said the angel to the women who went to finish the burial of Jesus’ body. Jesus is not dead, He is risen! This is why we celebrate Easter, or Resurrection Day!
Join us this Sunday at 10:00 am for corporate worship! There will also be a baptism during this Sunday’s service. At 9:15 am there will be a time for prayer to the One True God. This Sunday evening there will be no Bible study to encourage time to reflect on the resurrection of Christ with those you love.
Perhaps you have wondered why the resurrection is so important? Acts 17:30 and 31 give us a reason,
The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.
The resurrection is both the confirmation of the acceptance of the death of Christ on behalf of our sins, and the assurance that a day is coming when those who do not personally follow Christ will be judged. Those with faith in Christ Jesus will enter the rest of the Lord, His presence for all eternity. Those who deny the Lord, living for themselves’ and their lusts, will face separation for eternity in Hell.
Will you choose life or death? The choice belongs to you.
